Program Flow Control
Previous knowledge
My previous knowledge of program flow and control was limited but I understood the basics of planning using flowcharts.
Areas of strength
- Good problem solving skills.
- Background in engineering.
Areas of weakness
- Very little subject knowledge
Current Knowledge
The course refreshed my knowledge of how to use flowcharts. I found Flowal to be very intuative.
I have a good knowledge of how to plan flowcharts.
Flowal allowed for a good understanding of how programs can be used practically to control real life situations.
I feel that with a little more practice and familiarity with the program that I could teach this.
Strategies For teaching
Clear explinations of the terminology used in program flow control
Give clear instructions as to what each stage of a flow chart does. How the different shapes effect the outcome of each stage.
Relate commands to real life situations.
Use flowal to simulate real life situations. Complete well planned tutorials
